Hi, I’m Shirling. I’m a Product Manager living in New York City. I’m a curious systems-thinker with a strong taste for design and a bias towards action. I’ve launched products in Security at Microsoft and developed an infrastructure risk assessment modeling tool for the US DHS.
I’m passionate about the intersection of storytelling and technology. I recently made a Chrome extension to highlight and annotate The New York Times articles. I started Humans of Microsoft, a Spotify podcast sharing the stories of over 65 FTE and interns.
I care about sharing knowledge and building communities. I presented How to Use Copilot as a PM at Microsoft Times Square to over 85 employees. Previously, I started Fair Data Project, an organization that educated over 150 students about responsible AI. I also started an educational non-profit organization that combatted COVID-19 misinformation with over 500 volunteers.
In my free time, I like taking pictures, long-distance running, baking, writing, and reading.
